Christmas Counts Nativity Trail

26th November until 18th December 2020

This Christmas we have arranged a nativity with a difference.  This is a non-contact, lockdown friendly event and you do not have to enter any premises to complete the trail. We just ask that you obey all current social distancing guidelines. You can do it anytime during the dates above. Find all the codes around Portglenone village. Each code will take you to a page with part of the nativity story to watch. Using a smart phone scan the QR code using either a QR scanner app or your phone camera.

Find each of the nine stations in order to watch the full story

(if you have any difficulty scanning the code, you can use the web address under each code)

Once you have finished the nativity trail fill in the form and claim your Christmas Gift.

We would love to hear about your journey. Comments and feedback can be posted on our FaceBook page, or if you are a Sunshine Kids member on the WhatsApp Group.

QR code ForestTrail

Thursday 22nd October 2020 10am-5pm

Our QR trail forest will be available at Portglenone Forest Park from 10am until 5pm. Members of Sunshine Kids team will be there between 10am and 12noon.

Due to the current situation this may change at short notice, so please check our facebook page or WhatsApp group before you go for any possible last minute changes.

Two routes will be marked. The Green route is shorter, the orange route slightly longer. Both will have the same codes so you only need do one. Pick either depending on how far you want to walk.

At each stop scan the QR code with your phone either using the camera or a QR reader app. This will take you to a webpage with activities and questions to do with your children. There are also some activity sheets, these can be printed off at home, or we will have some packs available that morning.

It is very important that the current covid regulations are adhered to. Please only go round in family groups and keep your distance from others. We would ask that if families arrive at the same time you start the trail about 5 mins apart.

Remember your raincoat and wellies and we hope you enjoy the trail. It it goes well we hope to arrange similar events in the future.
