While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. Story Time
The last meal Jesus had with his friends was the Passover feast. Douglas is going to talk to us about what Passover is and how it is linked to Easter.
Craft Time
At the last supper they ate a special type of bread. It was made without yeast. For our craft today we are going to make some for ourselves.
Ingredients:
175g plain flour
100ml Water
2 Tablespoons oil
pinch of salt
Directions
Pre heat oven to 180°C
Mix together flour, water salt & oil until dough is formed
Knead on floured surface for approx. 5 mins
Divide into 6 pieces and flatten out
Place on lined baking tray
Bake for 15-20 mins
To vary recipe try adding herbs or sundried tomatoes at kneading stage and brush with oil before baking.
